KEYNOTE SPONSOR

From our very beginning, we have been a University to challenge convention. Emerging from the richly-diverse regions of the Northern Rivers, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast we have grown to now connect with more than 75,000 alumni around the globe. We are proud of our regions, of the opportunities we give to students who might be the first in generations to attend university and to the growing number of Indigenous students who choose Southern Cross.

We hold true to the values of excellence, boldness, trust and accountability. Threading through the entire Southern Cross experience is a deep sense of caring – for each other, for our communities, for our planet and for our futures.

WELCOME RECEPTION

Healthy North Coast (HNC) is a primary health network working to improve health outcomes and reduce inequity across regional, rural and remote communities on the NSW North Coast. HNC partners with general practice, Local Health Districts, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and community providers to design and commission services that respond to local need.

HNC supports a strong and sustainable primary care workforce and delivers programs that improve access and outcomes for priority populations, including older people, people with complex and chronic conditions, and those experiencing barriers to care. Recent work has strengthened access to primary and allied health services, supported workforce development and retention, and expanded integrated, multidisciplinary models of care. Through collaboration, innovation and place-based approaches, HNC works to achieve more connected, person-centred care across the region.

The 16th National Conference for Rural and Remote Allied Health is the premier national gathering dedicated to strengthening allied health services in rural and remote Australia.

The 2026 conference invites participants to explore how local identities, cultures, environments, and community knowledge shape the delivery of accessible, culturally safe, and sustainable allied health care across rural and remote regions.
